Approximately 2-3 weeks prior to student inclusive conferences, a conference sign-up will be available via the Parent Portal. I will email you when sign-up becomes available.
Each conference is 30 minutes in length. The first 15 minutes with your child outside of the classroom and the second 15 minutes with me inside the classroom.
I run our conferences on punctuality and respect the time you have made available to meet with me. In order to run on schedule, if a parent is late, their conference time would be shortened accordingly to ensure I stay on schedule for all the other parent conference appointments. I understand this may be beyond your control and in that instance, I would respectfully ask to reschedule. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your conference time to ensure adequate time with your child for the first part of the conference.

For the first 15 minutes your child will lead you through the first half of the conference in the ampitheatre outside of the classroom. This is a critical part of the conference, your child has been rehearsing how to show you their accomplishments, please be punctual to this part even if you are not meeting with your child’s teacher until the final 15 minutes. All students’ work will be organized and ready for their conferences. Your child will find theirs. In the interest of privacy, please do not look at work that does not belong to your child.
The second 15 minutes, I will come and greet you and invite you into the classroom. Teachers, students and parents will then celebrate your child’s accomplishments, discuss areas to strengthen, as well as identifying student goals and parental/classroom support to help them achieve these goals.
All parties will sign the report. It will be submitted to the Principal for review and a copy of the completed report will be forwarded to you before the start of break.
